Email Scams ReminderPlease Exercise Caution A reminder that, from time to time, online scammers may email you pretending to be a member of our clergy team. The emails will often be signed with one of our names and will ask you to contact the clergy by reply email because of something "important" or "urgent," or because we "need to ask you a favour." If you are unsure if a message is actually from a member of our clergy team, please never hesitate to reach out to us by telephone to confirm the authenticity of a message before replying to the email. Emails that are actually from our clergy team will always be from an email address that is our name @valleyanglicans.ca, so if you are wondering if a message may be from a scammer, please double-check the sender's email address. If a matter is truly urgent, always know that members of our clergy team are much more likely to try to contact you by telephone rather than email. And we will never email you to ask for money or gift cards. Thank you for remaining vigilant and, if ever in doubt, please do call the clergy or our Aborn House office to double-check. |
