Jesus' parable of folks clamouring for seats at a wedding banquet echoes the song his mother sung before he was born, the Magnificat, and reminds us that the guest list in the kingdom of God is open to everyone as we sit together around table, breaking bread, and participate in the making-whole of the world around us.
