While our primary worship together is our Sunday worship services, there are other times in our lives when it is important for us to gather and publically mark a particular moment in our life and faith journey.

In this section, you’ll find information about special services:

Baptism: In Christianity, baptism is the ritual act by which a person is admitted as a member of the Church. It is the public beginning of the life in faith.

Weddings: Christian marriage celebrates the union of a couple in the context of their relationship with Christ and the whole Christian family.

Confirmation: Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which an individual affirms for themself the faith into which they have been baptized and publically make an intention to live a life of committed discipleship. This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the bishop

Funerals: Anglican funerals strive to balance the grief of the living with a celebration of the life of the deceased, and faith in the hope of the resurrection.

Other special services
There are many other ceremonies and services for personal celebrations, such as the blessing of a new home, prayers and anointing of those who are sick, or the renewal of wedding vows. For details, please speak to one of the clergy.

Fees and Associated Costs
Please speak with a member of the clergy team regarding suggested donation amounts and other associated costs for your life event. These vary across the fifteen churches and chapels of our area parish. For services held at Holy Trinity Pembroke, please consult the document "Stewardship During Life's Big Moments," available for download below.
