Our texts for this last Sunday after Pentecost have a common apocalyptic theme rumbling through them. As we hear about destruction and devastation in the scriptures and see it happening around us, we wait and watch for the advent of our Lord. As we do so, the world is waiting and watching for someone to offer the thread of hope, the voice to raise up in song when the rest of us cannot sing. So let us keep on singing.
