Welcome to worship for the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost! This week we are pleased to offer this service of Morning Prayer as we come together in worship across the Valley.
For our service today, Rev. Rick Durrett officiates, Lucy Buttle from St Stephen's Micksburg is our reader and intercessor, Bishop Michael Bird reads the gospel, and Rev. Gillian Hoyer is our preacher. Join us in the singing of two hymns, led by Kim Silkie at St George's, Alice. The bell that rings to call us to prayer is from our Highway 41 beacon congregation of St Thomas, Rankin.
You can download the order of service, and a copy of The Valley Bulletin from the links above. This service will also air on Your TV Ottawa Valley on Sunday June 27, 2021 at 10am and 1:30pm.
We hope you will take a few moments and join our Parish of the Valley in prayer.
*Note, this service was recorded on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 23. In her sermon, Rev. Gillian references now-outdated numbers of dead children discovered buried on the grounds of Residential Schools in Canada. That evening and the next morning, new information came to light about hundreds more graves discovered at a Residential School in Saskatchewan.
