Holy Trinity Pembroke has welcomed a merry band of tiny church mice into our Church Family. They hang out with our Sunday school class, and go on intrepid adventures each week in the sanctuary.

"Zachary" comes to us all the way from Germany! A Christmas mouse, he is named after a key figure in St. Luke's account of Jesus's birth: the husband of Elizabeth and father of John the Baptist. You can learn more about his namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w…/Zechariah_(New_Testament_figure)
"Franky" is wild and free. He likes to make friends with all God's creatures, great and small (especially the bats who just moved into their new houses in the church's back yard!) You can learn more about his namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_of_Assisi
"Suzy" is our resident jokester, especially when she's near the pulpit. She's also our pastor mouse, never failing to share the love of Jesus with a smile and a hug. You can learn more about her namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Susanna
"Mary" first came to Holy Trinity with her sister Martha. A quiet soul, Mary loves to be near the aumbry, often sitting in the chancel for hours on end, gazing into the mysteries of the candlelight. You can learn more about her namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_of_Bethany
"Martha" first came to Holy Trinity with her sister Mary. A mouse who loves to get things done, you will usually find Martha in the pulpit, or with the A.C.W., right where all the action happens! You can learn more about her namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha
"Matthew" came to us from West Quebec. His sainthood is anything but certain, although he definitely is a softy at heart. He likes to spend his time wondering by the altar, munching on whatever bread crumbs fall his way. You can read more about his namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_the_Apostle
"Julian" of Norwich loves to go against the grain. A best friend to cats, Julian is the smallest of our church mice, and often the hardest one to find. She is pictured curling up in one of her favourite spots: the soft velvet of the offering plates! You can read more about her namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_of_Norwich
"Tommy" Cranmer emigrated from England some time ago. He previously lived in the Holy Trinity rectory but has recently moved across the laneway, only to find a church full of friends! Tommy is especially fond of sitting near the bishop's chair. You can learn more about his namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Cranmer
"Johnny" Knox originally hails from St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland (well, from the gift shop to be precise -- cathedrals are such big places don't you know!) He now calls the Ottawa Valley home, and loves to explore the reredos at Holy Trinity. You can read more about his namesake here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Knox
